Our Mission and Values

Carefour is committed to providing high-quality health care services to individual clients and their families, as well as to other healthcare organizations in need of supplemental staffing (such as certified home health and hospice agencies, health plans, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities).

Our priority is to provide state-of-the-art and compassionate in-home care from highly-trained medical professionals and aides. To make good on this promise, proper training is paramount. Not only do we hire the most experienced personnel, but we provide them with in-depth disease-specific training so that they can deliver specialized care to our clients.

At Carefour, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, active and fulfilling life. This ethos is at the heart of everything we do.

We provide everyone we support with the opportunity to continue to live life to the full. We actively encourage Service Users to become more self-reliant, to make decisions for themselves, and ultimately, to move on to more independent living arrangements.

We facilitate and support our Service Users to pursue meaningful and personalised lifestyles. We provide individually planned education & leisure opportunities to support each individual in their ongoing development.

Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Pledge

Our experience led us to care, how we started.

It all started in 2014 when my Father was diagnosed with Dementia by his GP. He then suffered a series of debilitating strokes two years later. He asked me to promise him that no one within the family would place him into residential care, no matter how much his health deteriorated. Domiciliary care within our home was the only realistic option and my Mother and Father moved into our hastily rearranged dining room. During the two years of around-the-clock care, I began formulating a picture of what the Domiciliary Sector looked like. We had three, double Carer visits per day, seven days a week for two years. We were blessed with some incredible Carers and typically some Carers who required improvement, but with the right management guidance and training, I believed they would have improved. The idea for Carefour was at its embryonic stage.

Managing Director & Co-Founder

Right from the beginning, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) was of utmost importance to us at Carefour. We meticulously designed every policy and procedure to meet these requirements. With the dedicated support of our Operations Director and Registered Care Manager, we successfully registered with the CQC, receiving approval without any queries or returns.

As Carefour expanded, our unwavering focus remained on delivering exceptional one-to-one care. We carefully selected carers who shared our commitment to go above and beyond for our clients. Through ongoing training programs, assessments, and appraisals overseen by our experienced management team, our carers continuously improved their skills and provided comprehensive care.

At Carefour, client satisfaction and quality assurance are our top priorities. We regularly seek feedback through Client Quality Assurance Questionnaires, as it allows us to continually improve and refine our services. We encourage open communication between our Care Teams and clients, ensuring their needs and preferences are heard and met.

To further enhance our services, we have established partnerships with reputable organizations such as The Alzheimer’s Society,  Dementia UK,  Dementia Friends. These collaborations enable us to access additional services tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.

As Carefour, I firmly believe that if our services had been available during my father’s illness, I would have welcomed our holistic approach to care.
